Three Decades of Experience and Leadership


 Bruce Vaughn began with SONIC on January 2, 1979. His relationship with CEO Buddy McClain goes as far back as the first grade when they were classmates in elementary school. Throughout their childhood and adult life, McClain and Vaughn have been a team. Vaughn became the President of MVP SONIC GROUP in 2004.

Vaughn’s training began with Buddy McClain in a SONIC located in Poplarville, Miss. In January of 1979, Vaughn went on to become the Managing
Partner at the restaurant in Grenada, Miss. In 1984, he relocated to Jackson to develop the capital area

market with McClain. He purchased the one location in Jackson and managed multiple stores at that time.

Vaughn also owns interest in the Mississippi Gulf Coast market and is partial-owner of the Hattiesburg, Jackson, and West Palm, Fla., markets. He has served as President of the Jackson Co-op for SONIC from 1999 to present.

At MVP, Vaughn is integrally involved in operations and market expansion. His depth of experience paired with his vision for market changes is a critical component in the ongoing success of the organization.


Vaughn has three daughters: Katie, Olivia, and Kaci. He has three grandchildren: Landon, Madelyn, and Landry Kate. Vaughn’s hobbies include hunting and fishing.
