Bruce Vaughn

Co-Chairmen of the Board

“Leadership through Vision and Experience “

Bruce Vaughn’s Sonic Journey began on January 2, 1979 when he began training at the Poplarville, Mississippi Sonic with Buddy McClain. Little did he know that this would be the beginning of what would become MVP Sonic Group. In January of 1979, Vaughn went on to become the Managing Partner at the restaurant in Grenada, Miss.

While his relationship with Buddy McClain goes as far back as the first grade when they were classmates in elementary school, McClain and Vaughn have always been a team. In 1984, he relocated to Jackson to develop the capital area market as a team with McClain. He purchased one location in Jackson and managed multiple stores as well at that time. From that one location, Vaughn grew his partnership in stores to include the Mississippi Gulf Coast, Hattiesburg, Jackson, and West Palm, Florida markets.  He served as President of the Jackson Co-op for SONIC from 1999 on and became President for MVP Sonic Group in 2004.

At MVP, Vaughn is integrally involved in operations and market expansion. His depth of experience paired with his vision for market changes is a critical component in the ongoing success of the organization. Through the years, MVP Sonic Group has counted on the perceptiveness and insight that Vaughn brings when it comes to leading the company.  In 2021, Bruce became the Co-Chairmen of the Board where he continues to lend his wisdom and experience to the next generation of MVP Sonic Group

Vaughn has three daughters: Katie, Olivia, and Kaci. He has three grandchildren: Landon, Madelyn, and Landry Kate. Vaughn’s hobbies include hunting and fishing.
