DISTRICT SUPERVISOR

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Assumes full responsibility for operations, training and development of all Partners/General Managers and employees within multiple Sonic Drive-ins; including the execution of all policies, programs and systems, including the Sonic Operations Manual. Creates and maintains an “Employer of Choice” environment.

Education and Training:

High School education or equivalent required. Advance studies in business, restaurant management, or related field preferred.

Working Experience:

Three (3) years proven experience as a Working Partner/General Manager with sales and profit responsibility of a single restaurant. Three (3) years Multi-unit supervision experience and advanced studies in business, restaurant management or related experience are preferred.

Working Knowledge:

Thorough knowledge and understanding of restaurant or retail operations. General knowledge of functional support areas, including Human Resources, Training, Marketing, Finance, Payroll and Point of Sale Systems. Leadership and supervisory practices and skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Basic accounting skills. Computer Skills (knowledge of Microsoft Office; Internet Explorer). Leadership,decision-making, organizational and conflict resolutions skills.

CERTIFIED TRAINING MANAGER

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

To be a Certified Training Manager, you must be performing general manager duties. After gaining experience at this level with exceptional performance in hiring, training, motivating employees, exhibiting operational excellence, and meeting requirements for your location, you can be designated as a Certified Training Manager of a certified training store.

ASSISTANT MANAGER

Assistant Manager

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Takes a leadership role in following the restaurant plan to achieve established operating standards, sales and profits with minimal supervision. This is achieved primarily by providing help in the areas of: hiring; training managers and crew; day-to-day operations, related administration, marketing and maintenance of the restaurant in a manner that customer service is maximized. Assumes full responsibility for the drive-in in manager’s or partner’s absence and generally works during periods of time the partner or manager is not present.

Education and Training:

High School education or equivalent required. Advanced studies in business, restaurant management, or related field preferred.

Working Experience:

One to two years of assistant management in a restaurant or retail environment; or equivalent SONIC experience and STAR certification in all stations; or up to six months of general management experience in a restaurant or retail environment. A minimum of one to two years of restaurant operations experience preferred.

Working Knowledge:

General knowledge of restaurant or retail day-to-day operations. A familiarity with the functional support areas of human resources, training, marketing, finance, payroll and point-of-sale systems.

CREW LEADER

Crew Leader
